For more than 25 years, Director of the Information Department of the Chilean National Research Council, CONICYT   Also in charge of the Scientific Promotion Department of the same institution from 1978 to 1984..  For the last 4 years worked as advisor on Scientific Information to the President of the institution. 

Professor of the Library Schools at the University of Chile in Santiago and Valparaiso until 1974.  Visiting professor  in different countries of the region.

Member of many specialized committees of international organizations and advisory  bodies of different institutions and programs.  Consultant at national and international level.

Today working as advisor fpr various programs in Chile and abroad.
