The Text Web is exploding in our face and becomes unmanageable. Ambiguities, redundancy and fragmentation of information in written form as well as in databases have become a major bottleneck for effective information exchange. Modern science, producing massive data sets needs a radically different way to communicate results. Te concept Web is one possible solution that will be presented. Textual information (words, terms) is first mapped to the corresponding, unambiguous, concepts and the repetitive statements of how these concepts relate are calculated into one 'co-occurrence' score. Indirect associations between concepts are also captured in the Concept Web. A crucial feature of communicating at the concept level is that natural language ambiguities also disappear.  Collaboration with BIREME and Grupo Stela will be presented as a proof of concept that cross language exchange without major human translation efforts becomes now possible. The Concept Web thus also has great potential to merge science from de veloping regions into the mainstream, a process that SciELO has pioneered for the last decade.
